I am a professional photographer, photojournalist and activist and involved with Roma throughout Europe.
Please look at my photographs. They cover so many aspects of the life of Roma in France, England, Spain,
Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia, Ireland, Romania, Finland, Poland, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Slovakia....
I have covered war, ethnic cleansing, refugees, deportations, squats, immigration, religion, traditions, modern
life, drugs, difficulties, joy, music, circus, animals, the circle of life, funerals, christenings, weddings, festivals,
travelling and sedentary lifestyles
I am working towards a book project. My work on Roma gets published in many magazines worldwide from
National Geographic website to Geo, D Magazine, Focus, Figaro, VSD, La Vanguardia, L'Express, Focus, Mare,
Stern, Time etc.
You will not, I think find stronger and wider coverage of Roma in photographs by anyone else. I don't say this
to be proud but because it is a passion and commitment in my life. I have been a photographer and activist
with many issues over twenty years work with groups of people from Squatters in South Africa to Striking
Miners in England, from Yanomami and Dayak's blockading logging roads in the Amazon and Borneo to
Ecologists defending forests, from Civil rights in Central America to Roma in Europe.
Sometimes you will need images to support your arguments.
